The Barney Cheng Collection was a sight of things to come in world of fashion as Hong Kong Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011 continued. The fabric palette of metallic greys, silver and off-white was enough to set the tone of the collection that evoked a sense futurism. Yarn embroidered cocktail skirts and ruffled skirts created the texture without leaving each garment with a feel of the typical minimalist feel that we've seen over and over from designers who have approached this theme. Instead the embroidery, big belts and waistbands, yarns and lengthy use of fabric adds a new approach to this exciting theme. The Barney Cheng Collection brings luxury, high couture and a new sense of style of what to expect for Fall/Winter 2011 and we love it. Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2011 rocks with The Alex Wang Collection
Alex Wang's collection rocks Hong Kong Fashion Week with his tailored designs with tones ofblack, white and grey. The silhouettes is reminiscent of a tuxedo fit with jackets paired with spandex pants. The form is very modern with a twist of rock wearability. Photos are courtesy of @GV_Miao.

Keita Maruyama collection opens Hong Kong fashion week 2011
Hong Kong fashion week 2011 made its' debut last night with the Keita Maruyama collection setting the tone for fashionistas. Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2011
Hong Kong Fashion Week present its Fall/Winter 2011 collection beginning January 17 through the 20th, 2011. It'll be Asia's biggest annual fashion event where they showcase designers latest creations, accessories and fashion related products. While the east gets ready for their fashion extrvaganza in Hong Kong, the west gets ready to kick it off theirs beginning February 10th through 17th, 2011.
