The Elle Files Fashion Fete 2011.

The 'Elle Files Fashion Fete 2011' held today, was fashionably sumptuous, as professional fashoinistas were pampered by manicurists and make-up artists, while others shopped Brooklyn Queens vintage clothing or jewelry collections by Shayla  Cox and Tnemnroda.  The event was hosted by true fashionistas Danielle and Michelle of The Elle Files. The Fashion Day Is Upon Us - Is Sarah Burton the one?

The fashion world still doesn't know who the designer for Kate Middleton's wedding gown for tomorrow will be. The online fashion world is abuzz that Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen is the one after she was spotted with the Royal Family at tonight's dinner. I haven't seen much of Ms. Burton's work, so I had to see her gowns from the Fall 2011 collection. I love every one of these gowns and I can definitely see one of them being adjusted to Kate Middleton's likeness for the wedding aisle tomorrow. The day has come and we shall see in a few hours because the world will be watching.

Hats by Sova Design F/W 2011 Collection - Vancouver Fashion Week.

Its all about the hats for designer Sherri Hrycay of 'Hats by Sovo Design.'  Hats are a perfect accessory to finish your choice of style whether it is country, aristocratic or urban glam.  I love the variety of looks that Sherri has showcased with her hat collection too. Hats can come off as very prudish too but with these looks in her F/W 2011 collection, every gal will want to own every hat in this collection.

Condragulations To Raja of Rupaul's Drag Race.

The finale of Rupaul's Drag Race Season 3 was like the Superbowl of viewing parties last night, to see the next drag queen superstar get crowned. In the end, Raja, who was mostly everyone's favorite to win, shamelessly took the crown with his usual confident and unique charm and flawless look.  He was absolutely my favorite to win from the first episode, with his winning looks in almost every episode. His talent for creativity in make-up, rajor-cut hairdos, runway walk and fashion intellect was well worth the crown. Raja, you are a True Fashionista Now. Condragulations!!

'BABY ITS YOU' - The Fashions.

True Fashionistas Now will love the fashions created by Lizz Wolf for the production of 'Baby It's You' opening this week at the Broadhurst theatre. The show is set in 1958 - 1965 and bow satin shifts, poodle skirts, cardigans, flats and short stilettos remind fashionistas of an era of rock and roll, and teenagers in love. I had an opportunity last week to preview this new production with the fabulous Beth Leavel.  I had seen Ms. Leavel before in 'The Drowsy Chaperone' and I knew the gal could sing. But to see her belt out Motown sounding tunes like 'Mama Said' by the original Shirelles which the show is based on, is another story. Get your tickets now.

Beth Leavel as Florence Greenberg.
Crystal Starr Knighton, Erica Ash, Christina Sajous and Kyra Da Costa as The Shirelles.

Je Ne Sais Quoi's Luxury Accessories Is 'Timeless.'

Je Ne Sais Quoi is a small luxury goods brand, which creates a lifestyle filled with exquisite accessories. The brand consists of neckties, ascots, cummerbunds, brooches and pocket squares. Founded in the spring of 2008 by Mckenzie Liautaud, whose goal is to intertwine traditional and timeless pieces with a modern edge. The target market for these impressive goods are tastemakers, trendsetters and art collectors.

Liautaud began his designing career with custom ties; ties he made for clients such as internationally acclaimed musician and producer Wyclef Jean, renowned Top Chef winner Marcus Samuelsson, also long-term friend producer D.Smith. Mckenzie Liautaud, who was a male model, walked the runways and showrooms for designers Kenneth Cole, Obedient Sons, as well as Klurk. Although Liautaud liked modeling, he wanted to explore his talents in an artistic and styling direction. Therefore, he started to assist top stylists such as Victoria Bartlett, Patti Wilson and Kate Young. Through working with these stylists, Liautaud learned what accessory styles were favored.

With such fashionable experiences, it is expected that Mckenzie Liautaud and his company Je Ne Sais Quoi will eventually change how today's men dress. Mckenzie Liautaud calls the change a movement to bring elegance and magnetism to a man's appearance.
