Tsemaye Binitie: Fashion That Is 'Contemporary & Luxurious'.

Tsemaye Binitie is a designer to watch, though I didn't get an invite to see the beauty of his S/S12 'Beautiful People' Collection at the recent NY fashion week ARISE shows.  However, I love the color palette, silhouettes and texture of some of the looks in the S/S12 collection.

Tsemaye Binitie, New York, NY, November 2011: Effervescent, clean, contemporary, and luxurious are all terms that have been used to describe the design aesthetic of Tsemaye Binitie. Encapsulating the modern woman is the specialty of this European ready to wear brand. Tsemaye Binitie is quickly becoming the brand to turn to for young, innovative and discerning women who value quality without compromising on style. British starlets, socialites, and trend setters are all turning to this label that has already found success in securing international editorials after consistently showing on the international stage for the last five seasons. The Spring/Summer ‘12 collection entitled ‘Beautiful People’ is inspired by Tsemaye’s travels during the early half of 2011. It was a whirlwind trip with Tsemaye taking in the sights and sounds, rubbing shoulders with 'Beautiful People' of five international cities in seven weeks. The concept of freedom is integral to the collection. ‘Beautiful People’ also evolved from an ideal of timelessness, people and thoughts, that transcend generations. There is a strong sportswear theme running throughout ‘Beautiful People’. The pieces have been developed to encourage layering, reminiscent of the surfers Tsemaye encountered on one of his journeys. The collection features dresses and separates in light airy silks, linen, cotton, jersey and neoprene. Colors are bright and the shapes are new, all together giving the distinct feeling of freedom to the collection. Spring/Summer 2012 was Tsemaye Binitie's first season showing his eponymous label at New York during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. Speaking with international singing sensation Leona Lewis at the show, she is interested in pulling from the collection to show support for a fellow Briton. CNN field reporter Lola Ogunnaike is also in line for a look to wear with her next meeting with First Lady Michelle Obama.
