Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauties At The Met.

The energy of high fashion and celebrities was savagely beautiful last night as they paid tribute to the great designer of our time, Alexander McQueen.  Not everyone wore McQueen like Anna Wintour or Demi Moore, but McQueen probably won't have minded because he knew his designs transcended any new trends.  And his legacy will forever be cemented in history and has already happened, with Kate Middleton's wedding gown which Sarah Burton designed under the house's name. I was surprised to see Lady Gaga missing in action at the opening because she respected his designs and even chanted lyrics in her 'Fashion' single and also wore armadillo shoes in her 'Bad Romance' video from one of his collection.  I arrived at the Met late to star gaze, but was lucky to see Beyonce crawl up the stairs in her Emilio Pucci fish tail gown which was way too tight for her to move. Donald Trump arrived and tried to be fashionably friendly by waving to fans outside but he was booed and he quickly was ushered into the Met.  Fashion is art and Alexander McQueen's designs proves that, by having some of his best looks on display at The Met. The exhibition titled "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" is now opened at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and ends July 31st, 2011.
