"The concept started with a photograph of a black, perforated surface with amorphous cutouts that allow light to shine through them. I was captivated by the interaction of light and shadows and the resulting movement created from linear and organic shapes. I took this idea of dappled light and created a scene in my head of a low-lit cobblestone street with textures created by the shadows and flickers of light. These textures will materialize in the collection through appliqué- and laser-cut details." ~ Eleanor Morgan Hoffman
