Christy Turlington Strikes A Pose In New Calvin Klein F/W13 Ad.

Photo credit: Mario Sorrenti via http://www.stylebistro.com/

Christy Turlington strikes a pose in the latest Calvin Klein F/W13 ad and we just want to shout 'give it to us mama'. The 44 year young wife and mother, is a classic beauty in this black and white shot, and was photographed by Mario Sorrenti.  Can you believe it's been seventeen years ago when she was in this older(now vintage already) Calvin Klein underwear ad(see below)? Anyone else remembers it?  Follow and connect with us on Facebook for more pics and fashion news.

Melbourne Fashion Festival: Alannah Hill F/W13 Collection. @tfnow

The Alannah Hill F/W13 collection at Melbourne Fashion Festival added a touch of modern sex appeal with her design looks. The lace overlay on dresses, paired with coats or peplum jackets made with leather is definitely a trend we love. A black tuxedo jacket is very tailored and looks almost minimal. My fave is the bold orange coat over a sexy sheer blouse, perhaps just be what today's women will love to wear. Do you love? Tokyo Fashion Week: Motonari Ono F/W13 Collection. @tfnow

The Montonari Ono F/W13 collection seems almost like an ode to the beauty of fabrics from designer Ono. The looks are tailored and well fitted but it is the use of fabrics that's striking to me. The patterns he uses is perhaps influenced from his years as a pattern-maker at Bora Aksu, a designer whose aesthetics are alive with great texture. It is the texture with these looks that I love n this collection, with pencil skirts, jackets and capes that are created using lace, jacquard and velour. Follow and connect with us on Facebook for more pics and fashion drama.

Tokyo Fashion Week: COTOO F/W13 Collection. @tfnow

The Cotoo F/W13 collection continued in the tradition of it's initial concept of a  'modern couture' woman. Shuzo Hayashi gave us looks that were structured, refined and lady-like. Fabrics such as taffeta, chiffon and tweeds with embellishment finishes of furs, leather and sequins were trends seen at earlier shows in New York, London, Paris and Milan. I am loving this collection for the skirts and the way it creates a very flattering and forgiving silhouette for women. I am especially glad to see designer Shuzo Hayashi's use of color in this collection too, since black and white seemed to be the trend for many collections we've seen so far.  Love or hate it?
