Melbourne Fashion Festival: Alice McCall F/W13 Collection. @tfnow

Alice McCall's F/W13 collection brought back color trends from the eighties to the fashion catwalk. Turquoise blues, exotic prints and cheetah printed turbans seemed to have the runway looks all wrapped up in safari glamour.  I love the sleeves of some of the dresses too which seem very playful and casual, with a seamless draping technique. Melbourne Fashion Festival: Alannah Hill F/W13 Collection. @tfnow

The Alannah Hill F/W13 collection at Melbourne Fashion Festival added a touch of modern sex appeal with her design looks. The lace overlay on dresses, paired with coats or peplum jackets made with leather is definitely a trend we love. A black tuxedo jacket is very tailored and looks almost minimal. My fave is the bold orange coat over a sexy sheer blouse, perhaps just be what today's women will love to wear. Do you love? Melbourne Fashion Festival: Akira F/W13 Collection. @tfnow

The Melbourne Fashion Festival began in Melbourne, Australia with the Akira F/W13 collection that sent models down the catwalk, in looks reflecting an age of floral romance.  The motif of flowers was abundant on each design. An air of femininity with sheer overlays and tapered but yet soft silhouettes mixed with floral prints seemed rooted in oriental inspirations.  The white gowns that descended at the end, added to the allure of modern brides and feminine innocence. São Paulo Fashion Week: Ellus Summer 2014. @tfnow

Ellus's summer 2014 collection is a camouflage of print patterns with urban silhouettes, and finishes of hardware zippers and buckles. Inspired by a motorcycle road-trip through India, the jackets and trousers indeed mirror those ideals but it's the print that's used which we love. Camouflage is a huge fashion trend that designers will be interpreting in many ways and here we get a sense of one version. The color palette is earthy indeed and we can't miss the playfulness with the theme of the motorcycle fan, especially with perhaps some symbolism too with actual mirrors on a print. Let us know if you're loving this collection.  Follow and connect with us on Facebook for more pics and fashion news.
