If you think SXSW is all about technology geeks then get your fashion saddles ready. This weekend 18th and 19th, after the techies have almost rounded up their week long annual summit of music and film activities, they will converge into the Austin Convention Center to discover new and upcoming fashion designers and their brands. Some of the major fashion brands headlining this weekend's venture called "STYLE X" (pronounced 'Style By') includes American Aparrel, Keds, and Cavortress. It's a win-win situation for this new addition to SXSW annual summit because fashion and luxury brands have begun to see the success of social media and technology that drives their success. There's hardly a fashion brand today that doesn't use Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Blogspot or Foursquare among some of the social media platforms and channels being utilised for marketing.
