Riqua Hailes is a visionary entrepreneur by nature. As a child, she always knew that she wanted to work for herself. Riqua owns and operates Just Extensions, the first hair extensions bar of its kind, located in Los Angeles, CA. Riqua also owns another successful salon, which features a similar “bar” concept, on the East Coast. Prior to venturing into the world of extensions, Riqua owned and operated a lady’s shoe boutique in Georgetown, an affluent shopping district in her hometown. Her vision and business savvy landed her recognition in national publications such as Essence magazine, Lucky Magazine, Heart & Soul Magazine as well as being named 2007 Best in Shoes. The Georgetown graduate holds two Master’s Degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications/TV Production, Through her personal struggle with dyslexia Riqua is an advocate for ensuring that all children have access to high quality learning experiences that maximize their strengths. Currently residing in Los Angeles, CA Riqua will forever be a Washingtonian. Riqua enjoys being a fab auntie, spending time with family, international travel, and “just” relaxing.
