The fashion explosion continues with Sabyasachi Mukherjee, one of the established designers from Lakme Fashion Week 2011 currently in progress in Mumbai, India. The looks from this collection is inspired from a call to save Sunderban tigers in India. The color tones are reflective of the ecological feel that Mukherjee feels from his inspiration for this collection to save tigers with the yellows and bursts of red. The bright bursts of color is also another inspiration that brings out his Bengali roots to his designs which add further cultural perspective and authenticity. I love the embroidery as well which create contrast to the looks and a sort of gypsy chic feel along with the silhouettes. The geek glasses add a dash of western spark that certainly brings out the fashion tigers in wanting to own one these pieces. We love it.
