Models shimmied on the main floor, some waltzing as a couple or on their own. Welcome to 'The Dance', Rachel Antonoff Autumn/Winter Collection 2011. It's not just the party that looks like fun but the clothes they are wearing to the party. The designs are fun and original, with ruffled dresses, blouses and skirts and ballerina dresses, making it playful and stylish with Antonoff's latest designs for her new collection. Seeing a quilted sweatshirt matched with a pocket skirt, or a sweater and shorts worn with classic Bass shoes, is almost like seeing yourself in your high-school prom photo come to life. Some of the looks for the girls are finished with stockings, that are adorned on the knee caps with images of a heart and arrow or silhouette of a cat face. I love the use of the plaids and the way it is used as a fabric for an entire dress and not just a trim or a vest as is typical of it's use. My favorite look is the pink ballerina dress adorned with three satin bows on the front. The model wearing the pink ballerina dress, is beautiful and looks like a supermodel in the making. Though there are mean girls on the bleachers with their bow tie blouse and skirt, staring behind their skinny rimmed over sized glasses, as the band mellowed the party down to The Shirelles; 'Will You Still Love Tomorrow', 'The Dance' must go on.
