Multicolor browns, olive green, blacks and charcoal grey were the color bases for Odilon's F/W 2011. The collection trumpeted the arrival of designer Stacey Clark and assistant designer Harold Kuhn's first presentation for New York Fashion Week. The inspiration for their collection, was the myth of Greek Goddess Persephone and the transformation from a young, naive girl into the womanly, unwilling queen of the underwold. Models stared at their guests and onlookers, that mimicked circa 1970's psychedelic music and rock and roll with their looks for the presentation. My favorite; a olive silk crepe jumpsuit with a blue fur hat, with the jumpsuit being a definite trend of the season. A gold twill cocktail dress with antique gold fringe or a multicolor brown wool vest with olive fur, black suede shorts paired with a multicolor brown hat, were other looks that represented new trends for the season. The pairing of hats with almost every look is a dominant trend for this collection. A lot of vests also seemed to be a trend for Odilon. The fabric choices for the designs, ensured fashionistas will be warm and cozy with these new looks, as furs, suedes, cashmeres and double face wool fleece were utilised. This young, naive girl will not settle for grunge, goth or punk, because her transformation will definitely be fashionable.
