I attended Alisha Trimble's F/W 2011 Collection show last evening and loved the unique inspiration for the designs. Fashion should be fun, creative and new. The inspiration for this collection is the study of animal senses and the lives of saints. Some of the pieces such as the first look below; a discotheque dress in gunmetal fabric paired with silk chiffon pants reminded me of a made-over Frida Khalo coming down the runway. A kimono, skating wrap skirts and a charmeuse gown highlighted some of the looks at the show that described Trimble's unique style. My favorite was a tobacco wool, asymmetrical biased dress. Attendees of the show were thrilled to see Ms. Jade of America's Next Top Model, cycle 6 walk the runway in some of the looks.
